When the international outfit Vltimas debuted back in 2019 with ‘Something Wicked Marches In’, every head turned in their direction. They were a fledgling band at the time but their pedigree speak for itself: everyone would expect American vocalist David Vincent (ex-Morbid Angel, I Am Morbid), Norwegian guitarist Rune ‘Blasphemer’ Eriksen (ex-Mayhem, Aura Noir) and Canadian powerhouse drummer Flo Mounier (Cryptopsy) to create dark magic in the studio and they certainly delivered on that promise. The all-star band struck the iron while it’s hot with several successful tours. Their new album ‘Epic’ dropped earlier this year. Meanwhile the band has fleshed out into a quintet with the addition of Dutch four-stringer Ype TVS (ex-Dodecahedron) and Portuguese guitarist João Duarte (Corpus Christii) and their firepower will test the stage to its limits.
